Silver Springs Shores is located on the North and South side of SE Maricamp Road in Ocala Florida and run East from Baseline Road to Locust Road. Silver Springs Shores may either have an Ocala address or an Ocklawaha address. Silver Springs Shores is uniquely located along the Florida Greenway, which is a State owned natural recreation area.

The single family homes in Silver Springs Shores were built between the 1970's and 2006. Silver Spring Shores also offers condominiums with a view of the Golf Course. The Silver Springs Shores Golf Course is open to the public and surrounded by several small lakes.

Golfing is a big part of the lifestyle at Silver Springs Shores. The Country Club at Silver Springs Shores is a semi-private club and features 6,857 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . The course rating is 73.5 and it has a slope rating of 133 on grass. Designed by Desmond Muirhead, the Silver Springs golf course opened in 1969.

The clubhouse measures 19,000 sq. ft. and offers a large main hall for private meetings and banquets. Additionally there is a complete locker room facilities and stocked golf pro shop with the latest golf equipment. It also features a full service restaurant and bar.

Also designed by Desmond Muirhead, the golf course offers two very different sets of nine holes. The first nine has the feeling of a traditional parkland course with many trees and wide open landing areas. The last nine offers a true Florida golf experience with lots of water in play. Together, the course represents a truly challenging golf experience.
